It is the 3rd year at the initiative of the members of Akhalsopeli Youth Center that the annual sports championship is held in Akhalsopeli. 

For 2 weeks at the village stadium, teams of people of different ages competed against each other in a variety of sports. 

Volleyball, football and basketball are the three main sports in which the village championship was held.
