"Open Library" is a non-formal educational project of Youth Centers Association, which aims to promote the book, access to education and raise the level of literacy in the community. The project envisages the placement of small bookstores (so-called "open libraries") in public places and the regular updating of literature.

The first "open library" was located in 2019 in the square of the village Akhalsopeli in Kvareli municipality. At the request of the population, the next "open library" was opened near the Akhalosfli Youth Center. The project was implemented by the joint efforts of the Eco-Club and Akhalsopeli Youth Center.

Soon, Akhmeta Municipality joined the project. With the support of the Youth Center Association, an open library was established in the center of Akhmeta in 2020. 

In addition, it is important that within the framework of this project, a number of events and different types of activities are planned, through which the "Open Library" will be enriched with new and interesting books.

It should be noted that the "Open Libraries" project is still successfully implemented in Akhalsopeli and Akhmeta municipalities.
