As part of a joint project between Akhmeta Youth Center and Peace Corps volunteers **In Akhmeta, on the premises adjacent to the “Jarji” Equestrian Club**The **2026 English-Language Summer Camp** was successfully held, bringing together up to 50 local young people for a five-day camp experience.

All five days of the camp featured a diverse range of educational, informative, sports, and team-building activities. A particularly important role in the planning and implementation of the programme was played by a team of 5–6 international Peace Corps volunteer organisers**who were actively involved in the programme throughout each day of the camp.

With the support of the volunteer organisers, participants developed their English-language communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills. They took part in sports, creative, and educational activities and explored important social and environmental issues.

As part of the camp, participants also met with representatives of **Eurobus for Youth** and international volunteers from different countries.who introduced young people to opportunities in international volunteering, exchange programmes, and Erasmus+and European Solidarity Corps-ის (ESC) introduced them to a range of opportunities.

An important part of the camp was the… Peace Building Workshopwhich with the participation of representatives from **JICA and Forum 2050**. The workshop was held as part of the camp. Participants worked in teams on issues including bullying, environmental protection, gender roles, the urban-rural divide, and the inclusion of people with disabilities in society, presenting their perspectives through creative performances.

The five-day camp provided participants with new knowledge, valuable experiences, new friendships, and unforgettable memories.
